Heidi Montag gave birth to a baby boy on Sunday. She and husband Spencer Pratt named their son Gunner Stone. Montag and the baby, who came into this world at six pounds and twelve ounces, are said to be doing well.
The couple, known as “Speidi,” announced their pregnancy in April, posing for the cover of Us Weekly. In the article, Pratt spoke about the exact moment his wife unveiled the exciting news. “The look on her face, I can’t even describe it. She was literally glowing. I thought she was about to say she made muffins or banana bread,” he shared. “Heidi said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ I was like, ‘Whoa, that’s way more exciting than banana bread!'”
Pratt went on, gushing over his wife. “Heidi has wanted to be a mom since the day I met her. She has planned for and thought about this,” he said. Montag added, “I wanted a baby three years ago. Spencer was a little hesitant. Then one thing after another came up. We had work obligations, like ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in the U.K., which I did not want to be pregnant for.” She continued, “I’m actually really thankful we waited. I thought I was ready in my 20s, but with everything we had going on, it just wouldn’t have been a good situation for us.”
Montag is the third cast member of “The Hills” to give birth in 2017. Lauren Conrad welcomed her bundle of joy in July, and fellow co-star Whitney Port gave birth to her first child later that same month. In a recent interview with E! News, the couple spoke about possible playdates with “The Hills” co-stars and their children. Choosing Kristin Cavallari’s daughter as “potential marriage material” for their son in the future, Pratt joked, “Go marry into that family, please.” Gossip Cop would like to congratulate Montag and Pratt on the birth of their first child, and we wish the family many years of happiness, health and love together!
